IMMIGRANT INVESTOR PROGRAMME (IIP) FOR IRISH RESIDENCY

 The Irish Immigrant Investor Programme (IIP) provides a range of investment options for high-net-worth individuals and their immediate families seeking to acquire permanent residency in Ireland and become eligible for Irish citizenship and an Irish passport.

The IIP was introduced and is supported by the Irish Government in 2012 to encourage inward investment into the country and is managed by Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS), a department within the Department of Justice of the Irish Government.

INVESTMENT REQUIREMENTS

· Open to high-net-worth individuals who commit to an approved investment in Ireland

· Minimum investment of EUR 1 million in either a single Irish enterprise or spread over several enterprises

· Investment term of a minimum of three years

· Applicants’ own resources and not financed through a loan or other such facility

· Start-up established by the investor or an existing business registered in Ireland, with its headquarters located in the country

· Personal net worth of EUR 2 million or more

· No criminal record in any jurisdiction

There is no requirement that the funds must be invested or committed prior to the approval of the application. You are only required to transfer the appropriate funds once your application has been approved by the Minister for Justice.
